Actively read the "Murder at the Theater" handout you received in class.

Generate 3 thoughtful, thematic questions that pertain to material on the Civil War that you would like to see on your assessment (probably Friday morning!). Post them to the blog- make sure they are different that the ones posted before you.

  3. There was a lot of tension between the North and South that lead to the civil war. Could the war have been avoided or was it bound to occur?

    Did the Emancipation Proclomation have a great signifcance on the outcome of the war? Was the South affected by Abraham Lincoln's proclomation?

    Why did Britain and France decide to not suppurt the Confedearcy?

    1)Discuss the North's motives for the war, and how these motives, if at all, shifted during the four years of fighting.

    2)Going into the war, the North seemed to be highly favored. Name three to four reasons why the North had the upper hand, and why the South was at a disadvantage.

    3)During the Civil War, woman played a crucial role in aiding both sides of the fighting. Please give a few (2-3) examples of roles that woman played. in addition, name the woman who was credited with winning a battle and was even awarded an honorable military burial following her decease at sea.
